“In this lifetime, I will work for youth ONLY” states Kingsley Bangwell, who in 1995, at age 22, started Youngstars Foundation in response to the bad governance that fostered abject poverty on his family and elongated his years in secondary school from six years to eight years. Thus he started Youngstars Foundation from a local barber shop in Jos which has today grown into a leading African youth development organization. His model projects include DESPLAY Africa youth democracy project, 7 youth handbooks (“How To... series”), Youth Works Top 12 Awards, Youth Power weekly radio programme, My Vote For Change (Naija 13minutes voters education programme) for Nigeria's 2011 elections which US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton tweeted on, etc. Kingsley Bangwell is an ASHOKA Fellow, a service award for social entrepreneurs around the world, he is also a member of Bretton Woods Committee, a Fellow Architect of the Future as well as a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum. He has travelled to 15 countries of the world. His aspiration for the decade is to build a world-class youth democracy and development resource center in Abuja Nigeria.
